Ich muss gestehen, dass ich auf den Auftritt von Alcatrazz auf der Headbyngers Stage sehr gespannt war. Eigentlich konnte ich mir die Band ohne Graham Bonnet am Micro nicht wirklich vorstellen. Dass Dougie White das letzte Album eingesungen hat, war schon grenzwertig. Nicht, dass Doogie kein guter Sänger ist. Aber für mich gehört bei Alcatrazz definitiv Herr Bonnet dazu. Dass in Wacken nun aber noch nicht einmal Doogie, sonder Giles Lavery hinter dem Micro stand, war schon sehr verstörend. Und auch in Bezug auf Giles gilt: ein top Sänger… Aber, inzwischen ist Alcatrazz eher eine Cover, respektive Tribute Band…. Schade.
I have to admit that I was really looking forward to Alcatrazz’s performance on the Headbyngers Stage. Actually, I couldn’t really imagine the band without Graham Bonnet on the mic. The fact that Dougie White sang on the last album was borderline. Not that Doogie isn’t a good singer. But for me, Mr. Bonnet is definitely part of Alcatrazz. But the fact that it wasn’t even Doogie behind the microphone in Wacken, but Giles Lavery, was very disturbing. And also with regard to Giles: a top singer… But in the meantime, Alcatrazz has become more of a cover or tribute band…. What a pity.
