Als Sonata Arctica 1999 ihr erstes Full Length Album „Ecliptica“ auf den Markt warfen, hatten mich die Finnen sofort als Fan gewonnen. Ich muss gestehen, dass ich einige spätere Alben nicht ganz so prickeln fand, aber unterm Strich trotzdem komplett auf meiner Wellenlänge. Ich habe es tatsächlich nie geschafft, die Band live zu sehen und war dementsprechend extrem aufgeregt und in freudiger Erwartung. Eine tolle Band, eine tolle Live Präsenz!!
When Sonata Arctica released their first full-length album “Ecliptica” in 1999, the Finns immediately won me over as a fan. I have to admit that I didn’t find some of their later albums quite as tingling, but the bottom line is that I was still completely on my wavelength. I’ve never actually managed to see the band live and was therefore extremely excited and eagerly awaiting the show. A great band, a great live presence!
