Ich bin mir nicht ganz sicher, aber ich denke, dass die US Doom Metaller Pentagram auf dem WOA 2023 die dienstälteste Band waren. 1971 gegründet und mit Sänger Bobby Liebling immer noch das Micro Urgestein dabei.
Die Jungs sind einfach Kult, und obwohl Doom nicht so ganz mein Geschmack ist, war der Auftritt der Band aus Washington DC eine Pflichtveranstaltung.
Bobby war von eh und je ein kauziger Typ, und die zunehmende Ähnlichkeit mit Catweazle ließ den Auftritt auch optisch zu einem Höhepunkt des Festivals werden.
Ein toller Auftritt, der mir noch lange im Gedächtnis bleiben wird.

The guys are simply cult, and although doom is not quite my taste, the performance of the band from Washington DC was a must-see event.
Bobby was an oddball as ever, and the increasing resemblance to Catweazle made the gig a highlight of the festival visually as well.
A great gig that will stay in my memory for a long time.
