Unter dem Motto 40 Years of Destruction huldigen Jag Panzer aktuell ihrem 1984 erschienenen ersten Full Length Album Ample Destruction.
Kaum zu glauben, wie die Zeit vergeht, denn ich erinnere mich noch sehr gut daran, als ein Kumpel mit der Scheibe ankam und von da an Harry „The Tyrant“ Conklin und Konsorten seine Seele verkaufte.
2023 spielten Jag Panzer auf der Headbangers Stage in Wacken; umso weniger konnte ich mir ausmahlen, wie die Band im Pitcher nun quasi auf einer Briefmarke Platz finden sollte. Aber es funktionierte, und die Band spielte, als wenn sie vor 20000 Fans auftreten würden. Voller Hingabe und mit einer aufs Publikum überspringenden Begeisterung.
Für mich schon skurril, dass Gitarrist Mark Briody teilweise hinter mir stand, während ich mit viel zu großen Objektiven versuchte, die Band bestmöglich abzulichten.
Super starker Auftritt der zeigt, dass es Profis wie Jag Panzer am Arsch vorbeigeht, vor wieviel Leuten sie spielen; auf alle Fälle sind sie mit Herzblut dabei, was ich ehrfurchtsvoll anerkenne.
Under the motto 40 Years of Destruction, Jag Panzer are currently paying homage to their first full-length album Ample Destruction, released in 1984.
It’s hard to believe how time flies, because I still remember very well when a buddy arrived with the record and from then on sold his soul to Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin and band.
In 2023, Jag Panzer played on the Headbangers Stage in Wacken, so I couldn’t imagine how the band would fit on a postage stamp in the pitcher. But it worked, and the band played as if they were performing in front of 20,000 fans. Full of dedication and with an enthusiasm that spilled over into the audience.
I found it bizarre that guitarist Mark Briody was partly standing behind me while I was trying to take the best possible photos of the band with lenses that were far too big.
Super strong performance that shows that professionals like Jag Panzer don’t give a shit how many people they play in front of; in any case, they put their heart and soul into it, which I respectfully acknowledge.
