Die Band hatte sich gerade von Breaker in Accu§er umbenannt und präsentierten sich dem heimischen Publikum. Ich bin mir allerdings nicht sicher, ob es sich beim Venue um die Sporthalle in Wilnsdorf handelte.
Gitarrist Frank Thoms kümmerte sich damals lediglich um seine Sechssaiter, währen Eberhard Weyel noch den Gesang innehatte. Als Eberhard die Band verließ, riss Frank das Micro an sich und führte die Siegener Truppe auf einen steilen Weg nach oben.
Dass es die Band auch heute im Jahr 2026 noch gibt, und dass erfolgreicher denn je, hätten sich die Siegener Thrash Kapelle bestimmt auch nicht träumen lassen.
The band had just changed its name from Breaker to Accu§er and was performing for its local audience. I’m not entirely sure, though, if the venue was the sports hall in Wilnsdorf.
At the time, guitarist Frank Thoms focused solely on his six-string, while Eberhard Weyel was still handling the vocals. When Eberhard left the band, Frank grabbed the mic and led the Siegen-based group on a meteoric rise to fame.
The Siegen thrash band certainly never would have dreamed that they’d still be around today in 2026—and more successful than ever.
